Completing a four-year Bachelor of Education at Curtin University, Thomas chose his career path because of the vast number of benefits Physical Education provides to students.

鈥淧hysical Education can be used to improve a lot more than physical ability, such as mental wellbeing, emotional regulation, healthy lifestyles, resilience, sportspersonship, determination, goal setting, teamwork and respect,鈥� he said.

Thomas finds organising sporting carnivals to be the most rewarding part of his work as he loves to see students succeed even when they had doubts before the event.

鈥淚 hope to make Physical Education in the Primary School even more inclusive than it already is and through the use of PE, build strength and confidence in our students,鈥� Thomas said.
