Mr Jonathan Schneider

President

Jonathan joined the board in 2016, he served as Treasurer and Vice President prior to assuming the role as President in 2023. Jonathan and his wife Felicity (OKC 1997) were both born in Perth and have two children who attend ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø. Professionally, Jonathan is a Senior Partner with the Global Consulting firm Deloitte, he is the leader of the firm's tax practice in Western Australia and is also a member of the firm's National Tax Executive.

Ms Alana Delcanho

Vice President

Alana graduated from ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø in 1998. She lived in Melbourne for 10 years and recently returned to Perth. Alana is very happy to be part of the ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø community again with her husband Ben and three children (aged 7, 5 and 2). Professionally, Alana is an experienced commercial lawyer, having worked closely with private and public sector organisations across a range of industries both in Australia and internationally. As a senior lawyer at the State Solicitor's Office of Western Australia, Alana is currently advising the WA Government on a pipeline of major infrastructure projects.Ìý

Mrs Jessica Barrett

Vice President

Jessica was born in Perth and is a Carmel graduate (OKC 2000). After a period interstate and overseas she returned to Perth to start her family. She has three children aged 8, 6 and 2 years.Ìý

Jessica has worked as an emergency and critical care veterinarian for 16 years. She holds a senior position in the professional college for veterinary scientists.Ìý

Jessica is committed to the Perth Jewish community and has always been involved in local organisations. She believes that Carmel school is the centre and strength of the Perth community and she is a proud graduate and parent at Carmel school.Ìý

The Hon Justice Rabbi Marcus Solomon

Governor

Marcus Solomon is a former student and staff member of ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø and the parent of 6 children and the husband of Linda - all educated at Carmel. He is the honorary senior Rabbi of the Beit Midrash of WA (Dianella Shule) and is a judge of the Supreme Court of WA.

Mr Greg Weinstein

Treasurer

Greg (OKC 2000) previously served as Head Boy in Year 12 and National President of the Australasian Union of Jewish Students (AUJS). After some time in Sydney he recently returned to Perth with his wife Leah and their two children aged 9 and 1. Greg has 15 years' experience in financial and commercial roles across a range of industries and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder. He is currently Head of Commercial Performance at Ramsay Health Care, partnering with business leaders on budgets, forecasts, investment decision analysis and strategic initiatives.

MrsÌýHadassa London

Secretary

Hadassa was born in Perth and attended ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø for Years 11 and 12, graduating in 2004. Although her Carmel education was brief, she found it to be a wonderful experience that left a significant and lasting impact on her. ÌýHadassa is delighted to be involved in the Carmel community again, this time as a parent. She and her husband Jeremy (OKC 2002) have three children currently aged 8, 5 and 2.ÌýÌý

Hadassa is a principal policy officer at the WA Department of Finance within the commercial procurement policy area, where she develops, implements and evaluates policy initiatives, and advises State agencies on their procurement obligations.ÌýHadassa holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts and is admitted to legal practice.Ìý

Dr Stephanie Chetrit

Board Member

Stephanie was born and raised in Paris, France and came to Carmel for Year 12, as a mature age student. In Paris, Stephanie did not have the opportunity of a formal Jewish education and she loved her time at Carmel. From an academic point of view, it allowed her to get into and study medicine. Stephanie currently works in surgical education at Royal Perth Hospital and as a surgeon at the SJOG hospitals. She is delighted to have her son graduate from Carmel in 2021 and her daughter currently at the School benefitting from the educational and community environment of ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø.Ìý

Mr Eli Bernstein

Board Member

Eli was born in Israel and migrated to Australia in his early teens, completing his secondary schooling in Carmel (OKC 1996) and his university studies (BCom(Hons), MBA and LLB) in Perth. Eli is a proud father of five. Eli and his wife Shelley have three girls who attend ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø, spanning Year 1 to Year 11Ìýand are grateful to be part of the ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø community.Ìý

Professionally, Eli worked with private and public sector companiesÌýand practices as a Fintech lawyer specialising in the intersection of finance, technology and law. Eli is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has served on a number of boards and committees.
