Carmel nominated two teams for the recent Statewide High School Ultimate Frisbee Championships: a combined Year 7/8 mixed junior team, and a combined Year 9/10 mixed senior team.
Both junior and senior teams made the grand final, with each final being a draw at fulltime and having to go into overtime. Our seniors, undefeated all day, were eventual champions with a score of 5-4 over Shenton College.听Our juniors narrowly lost their overtime match against Shenton College but finished up overall runners-up.听Our students were commended for their manner and sportsmanship throughout the day by the officials present.听We will look to expand on our success in 2022 with the possibility of sending more teams to the event.
