In Week 5, various celebrations went on at our Primary School campus. On the Wednesday morning, our Preps shared aÌýcolourfulÌýtime with their parents in theÌýKikarÌýwhere they did crafts together, sang and heardÌýMrÌýLawrence talk about (and then show them) the Torah, which is such an important part of the Shavuot story.ÌýOur Preps presented their bikkurim and then shared recess with their parents, who were very happy to be involved in such a wonderful day.Ìý

Later that day our Year 4s and their parents celebrated Shavuot with an evening of Torah learning and delicious dessert. The evening ended with true CarmelÌýruachÌýas parents were treated to singing and dancing by our very talented Year 4s.ÌýÌý

Not to be left out, our Year 2s really shone at their Shavuot Assembly the following day, Thursday 13 May. They made a grand entrance from the back of the Sylvia and Harry Hoffman Hall, filing past their parents and wearing theirÌýcolourfulÌýbikkurim crowns. Their beautiful songs and slick dance moves behind a sea of wonderful bikkurim offerings (which Rabbi White collected later for distribution) made everyone cheer very loudly! Chloe Z drew the name of this Assembly’s mensch out of a sea of mensch nominee names and chose that of…her own brother, Evan! Mazal Tov Evan.ÌýLog in to Facebook to see more photos of theÌý, theÌýÌýand theÌý.Ìý
