Aaron doesn’t do anything in life by halves. In preparation for his Bar Mitzvah, he not only learned to lain his entire Parsha of Chayei Sarah, he also learnt the parsha for the following week so that he could celebrate his Bar Mitzvah at school on the Monday afterwards! Aaron’s melodious voice pierced the hearts of PHC congregants as he davened Kabbalat Shabbat on Friday night and was Chazzan for mussaf the next day. Joining with his brothers and grandfather, Rabbi Freilich, the family sang ‘One Day’; a video that has now gone viral as people from all over the world tune in to listen to this soulful rendition of this song of hope.

When Aaron isn’t singing, he is playing chess and has already won State championships. (He can tell you that the Wizard chess on the Harry Potter movies was not well played, the chess on Queen’s Gambit was great as they were advised by true chess masters!)

But the most impressive thing about this young man is his kindness and ‘can-do’ attitude. Always with a smile, Aaron makes everyone’s day just that little bit brighter.

Mazal Tov, Aaron!
